Closeup of a handshakeAs many of you know, there is an ECMPS Stakeholder meeting on Tuesday, May 12th of this week in St. Louis. The meeting is being held the day before the 2009 EPRI CEM User Group Conference and Exhibit which runs May 13-15.

Five members of the ECMPS Technical Support team will be traveling to St. Louis. All five will be at the Stakeholder Meeting, and two will be in the EPA Booth in the EPRI Exhibition Hall throughout the rest of the week.

If you are not able to speak with us in person at the meeting, be sure and come by the EPA booth to chat with us and the EPA folks who will be there. We look forward to catching up with familiar faces and getting to know new ones.

What would you like to See (and Hear) during the Stakeholder Meeting Demonstration?

Tuesday, May 5, 2009

Person making presentation in front of audienceThe Spring 2009 ECMPS Stakeholder meeting is just a week away. A number of stakeholders will be gathering in St. Louis on Tuesday, May 12th prior to the EPRI CEMS User Group meeting.

Ever since there has been a Client Tool to demonstrate, a demonstration has been part of the Stakeholder meeting. The meeting in St. Louis is no different. At Technical Support, we would like to get your opinion on any areas of the Client Tool which you would like see demonstrated during the Stakeholder meeting Client Tool demonstration.

Some of the current ideas for the demonstration are:
  • Reports: There are many of them in the Client Tool, but not always well-known as a source of valuable information.

  • Utilities: These include Backup, Restore, Purge, and User Management.

  • Help: The Client Tool's Help file can answer many of your functionality questions.

  • Working with LME Data

  • Support Web site: How to get the most out of the site.
If you have any additional ideas, simply add a comment to this post. (You can submit anonymous comments.) Thanks for your input.

(Also, note that because the comments are moderated, your comment will not appear immediately, but will be posted as soon as possible after you have added it. Comments are moderated in order to prevent "comments" from being added by bots and spammers.)

Arlington Stakeholder Meeting Presentations have been Posted

Friday, February 6, 2009

People listening to a presenterThe presentations from the Arlington Stakeholder Meeting have been posted. All of the material which was presented at the November 19, 2008 ECMPS Stakeholder Meeting have been posted on the ECMPS Support Web site.

The presentations are audiovisual presentations broken into the natural sections of the meeting. This allows you to listen to any of the sections of the meeting you would like to listen to rather than trying to find a particular section of the meeting from a longer presentation. These sections of the meeting cover the necessary areas that stakeholders need to understand about ECMPS as we move forward toward the mandatory use of ECMPS beginning with the submission of 2008Q1 data.

In addition, for the first time, the Client Tool demonstration part has been included. The demo covers all of the essential areas of the Client Tool along with practical tips for how to best use the Client Tool to evaluate and submit your data.

Please provide us with any feedback on these presentations using the Tutorials and Stakeholder Meeting Feedback form.

More Post-Stakeholder Meeting Information

Wednesday, May 21, 2008

Peter Schwanzer of the Riverside StompersThere was a very good turnout at the Stakeholder meeting on May 13th in Nashville. If you missed the meeting or you attended the meeting and want to review the meeting materials, the meeting presentations, not including the software demo, will be put on the ECMPS Testing Web site in the next few weeks.

The Nashville Stakeholder presentations will be similar to the presentations from the December Stakeholder Meeting in which the audio is provided along with the slides. This is great way to review the material at your own pace.

I think that I speak for everyone who helped put on the Stakeholder meeting, when I say that we had a great time at the meeting and in Music City. It was nice to catch up with familiar faces and also meet some new folks. We appreciate all of the questions and comments at the meeting and in the booth in the exhibition hall at EPRI. We know that your feedback will help to make ECMPS a much better product.

Here is a picture of everyone who was involved in hosting the meeting in Nashville:

Resources from the Stakeholder Meeting

Thursday, May 15, 2008

Brockhaus Konversations-Lexicon, 1902During the ECMPS Stakeholder meeting on Tuesday in Nashville, a number of resources were mentioned. These included resources for general information about ECMPS, training materials, registration Web pages, and much more. Included in the meeting packet was a handout which listed a number of these resources. In this post, the resources are listed again with links for everything which is available via the Internet.

I would like to especially highlight the tutorials which were mentioned, but not demonstrated. The tutorials are excellent resources for learning how to use the ECMPS Client Tool to report your data to the EPA. These are in the same vein as the MDC tutorials, but, by using the latest in presentation technology, they are most certainly the next generation in tutorials.

Each tutorial is a brief (10 minutes or less), informative audiovisual presentation which focuses on a specific topic related to the ECMPS Client Tool. The tutorials do not take long to access online, and they each include closed captioning.

Currently, there are five of tutorials available to be both viewed online or downloaded to your computer. Many more tutorials covering a wide range of topics related to the Client Tool will be released over the coming months. A new post will be made on this blog when a new tutorial is released.
